Not all part of a fleece are created equal. Within a single fleece there are fiber quality and length variations.
The wool from the belly and legs of the sheep are consider the worst parts of the fleece. You may want to seperate them out paticularly if you are planning on dyeing the wool.
The wool from the back and shoulders of the sheep is better quality and will have a longer staple (length).
