Potsdam is a sandstone town. There are a red stone buildings all over the place. Churches, houses, rail road stations, and college dorms are just a few. I really like this one for some reason.

See? Sandstone. This is Trinity Church and it's on an island right next to downtown Potsdam. The SCA group had an event there once while I was in Potsdam.

Another view of Trinity Church.

This is the Raquette River as seen from the Trinity Church grounds. Further up the river there is a small park that I used to walk through to get downtown.

The Roxi 1 & 2! I went to a couple of Rocky Horror showings there and, of course, the cast was mostly my friends. I think the first movie Marc and I saw there was Disney's Alladin.

The alley way between the Roxi and the movie rental place has always been... interesting. I think they've cleaned it up since I left.
The Hop is a little 1950's style diner that opened while I was in Potsdam. I remember going there quite a bit because (I think I'm remembering this correctly) Darin worked there for a while.

Maxfields... the upscale bar.

I never did like the pizza at Sergi's but everyone else seemed to.

I remember the Cactus Grill and Cantina opening.

The Bead Lady had a shop at the Market Square and there used to be an awesome bakery in the back.

The Greyhound Bus station was at the Market Square. I did quite a few bus trips. The trick in going from Potsdam to Syracuse on the Greyhound was to wear a fake engagement ring. Then the soldiers are polite but don't hit on you as much.

Marc and I really wanted this old railroad station for a house. There were so many things we could do with it. I think Marc's mother took us to dinner there once. Or maybe lunch.

McDuff's Tavern was Marc's favorite bar.

The Bali Hai was another popular college bar but it's definitely seen better days. I think it may have been boarded up the last time I was in Potsdam.

Marc really liked this frat house. I think it was the interesting shape to some areas of the roof.
